After a fashion editor jumped the gun and posted a picture of Lady Gaga's debut perfume on Twitter, the singer has now been forced to tell all about the scent, and post her own official photo of the bottle.
"Looks like photos of my perfume are being leaked," Gaga tweeted. "Oh you fashion editors I could just crinkle my hands at you!" The photo shows that the perfume is called "Fame," with a subtitle of "Black Fluid," and it does look completely black. The topper is gold, with pointy things coming down over the top, like the "paw" shapes that her Little Monsters make with their hands.
She also tweeted a picture of the back of the box, with the note, "Here's what it smells like!" The box says that the scent is made of "Tears of Belladonna, Crushed Heart of Tiger Orchid with a Black Veil of Incense, Pulverized Apricot" and "the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops." Whatever that means.
Also on the back is the message, "First of its kind, this perfume is an innovation of fluid technology. It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne."
When a fan asked her, "Will there be a male version for the gays?" Gaga responded, "My perfume was designed for women, but a lot of my gay friends wear it." The scent is scheduled to arrive in stores this fall.
