Maroon 5's Adam Levine is really taking acting seriously. He's already got a part in the new season of American Horror Story, and now Deadline.com reports he's landed the lead role in a new movie called Can a Song Save Your Life.
The film comes from John Carney, who directed the acclaimed movie Once, which was turned into a Tony-winning Broadway musical. Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld are also in the cast. In the movie, Knightley's character and Adam's character move to New York to pursue music together. He dumps her for a solo career, but then she's discovered singing in a bar by a down-on-his-luck record producer.
Meanwhile, since American Horror Story was created by Ryan Murphy, who's also the mastermind behind Glee, is it possible that we'll see Adam Levine appear on Glee at some point as well? Well, yes.
Speaking to E! Online, Adam says, " I've talked to Ryan a lot about it. We've had multiple conversations about it in the past, trying to find the right thing for it, so hopefully one day!" Adam jokingly calls American Horror Story the "super-dark, non-musical version of Glee."
The cast of Glee has performed Maroon 5's song "Misery" during season 2 and "Moves Like Jagger" in season three.
