Digital Underground Dedicates Tupac Birthday Show as Black Panther Benefit
Ron Galella/WireImageOn Saturday, diehard fans of Tupac -- or new devotees of his Coachella hologram -- may wish to observe a moment of silence to mark what would have been his 41st birthday.
Those Pac fans in San Francisco, California may consider spending time with the slain rapper's former band mates Digital Underground as they dedicate an entire show to Pac at Yoshi's Jazz Club in benefit of the National Alumni Association of the Black Panther Party. Tupac's connection to the Panther Party is pretty strong considering the membership of both parents Afeni Shaku and Billy Garland. For more information, visit Yoshis.
Early in Tupac's career he worked as a roadie and dancer for Digital before being featured on "Same Song," launching his solo career, on the 1991 Nothing but Trouble soundtrack to the Dan Akroyd-directed movie.
