Last month, Kelly Rowland tweeted a photo of herself working in Barcelona, Spain on a song, "Summer Dreaming" to be used in a European commercial for Bacardi spirits.
Well, now a club remix of the song is in the works as well as a video for the party track; and in a behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot, Kelly talks about the remix, which will be unveiled at a launch party in Berlin, Germany on July 8.
The "Summer Dreaming" video, says Kelly, "is all about the celebration... like you're seeing my dream come to life right before your eyes and I wake up and I'm like, 'Oh, I'm really dreaming!'"
Kelly says she wants the video to evoke thoughts of summer like "colors, fabrics that blow in the wind, shorts and hot pants which everybody's wearing right now." Kel's characteristically fashionable in the video where she is seen with flowing locks, wearing a brightly colored summer dress and turquoise platforms. Kelly says she wants listeners to also feel "cool and sexy and fly," when they hear the song.
As for her new album that's in the works, Kelly says, "It's a very urban, R&B, sexy, unexpected record. It's gonna make you think. It's gonna make you wonder." While working on the album, Kelly says she's been excited by how urban producers are "marrying this dance sound [with] gutter, urban beats. I love that sound. It's really, really fresh." Kelly anticipates completing the album in the next month or so.
