Eli Young Band Scores Universal Hit with "Even If It Breaks Your Heart"

Republic NashvilleThe Eli Young Band is on their way to scoring another #1 hit with their latest single, "Even If It Breaks Your Heart."  Though they didn't write the song, it captures the band's story of struggling to break through as country stars.

The band formed while the guys were in college, and they've played a lot of shows and logged a lot of miles on the road in the 10 years since they started.

Lead singer Mike Eli tells ABC News Radio, "We've been following our dreams for a long time.  So, this song really hit home with everything that we've been through and everything we want to go through."

Though they relate to the song as musicians, "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" has become an anthem for fans from all walks of life.

"It feels like it's a song really that anyone could relate to and really just going out and going for it no matter what the consequences," says drummer Chris Thompson.

"Even If It Breaks Your Heart" is included on Eli Young Band's latest album, Life at Best, which also features their #1 hit "Crazy Girl."
