Jason Mraz Up for Two San Diego Music Awards

Emily Shur/Atlantic Records

Jason Mraz's new album Love Is a Four Letter Word just came out in April, but it's already earned some award nominations.

Jason's new music is nominated in two categories at the annual San Diego Music Awards, which will be handed out August 13 at Humphrey's by the Bay in that city.  Love Is a Four Letter Word is up for Album of the Year, while his latest single "I Won't Give Up" is up for Song of the Year.

The public can start voting for their choices June 26, and voting runs through July 25 at SanDiegoMusicAwards.com  Unfortunately, the public can't vote in the main categories, which are the ones Jason is nominated in.  Those winners will be decided by the members of the San Diego Music Academy.

Though Jason is originally from Mechanicsville, Virginia, he now lives in Northern San Diego County, where he owns an avocado farm.
