Jennifer Hudson Readies for July 4 Boston Pops Performance & More

John Shearer/WireImageOn July 4, Jennifer Hudson will deliver vocal fireworks accompanied by the Boston Pops orchestra as part of the nation's Independence Day celebrations.  The 39th annual concert event will be broadcast live on CBS from Boston, Massachusetts' scenic Charles River area as part of an hour-long primetime special beginning at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

The evening's other performers include the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters and various cast members of the hit musical Mamma Mia!

Meanwhile, on July 11, the svelte spokeswoman for Weight Watchers has plans to serve up tunes good enough to eat when she headlines the 32nd Annual Taste of Chicago food and music festival at downtown Chicago's Grant Park band shell, located near Lake Michigan.
