Kiss is known for doing things in a big way, and that's especially true for the band's upcoming limited-edition coffee-table book, Kiss: Monster, which available for pre-order now. The super-sized, limited-edition tome is three-feet tall and two-and-a-half-feet wide, and fans purchasing it can choose one of 10 cover designs -- each sporting a different country's flag.
Only 1,000 copies of Kiss: Monster are being produced, each one signed by the hard-rocking group's four current members -- Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. The book features a bevy of striking, rare images from such respected photographers as Fin Costello, Bob Gruen, Ross Halfin, Denis O'Regan and Neil Zlozower.
Kiss has released a promotional video for the book, featuring comments from all of the band members.
Stanley says, "You can use it for exercise, you can get a couple of them and build a house...It's the biggest thing we've ever done. It's go the most awesome photos you've ever seen of the band."
Adds Simmons, "You're girlfriend lied to you -- size does count."
One warning, though, Kiss: Monster does boast a monster price tag. Through July 3, the band is offering the book for the special pre-launch price of $3,499. Fans ordering the book after July 3 will have to cough up $4,299. Shipping on all orders is free.
