Jane's Addiction to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Kyle Dean ReinfordJane's Addiction became famous by singing songs about seamy Hollywood street life, so it's fitting that the band will be getting its own literal piece of that street: they'll receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced that Perry Farrell and company will be one of two rock acts -- among the eight total music performers -- who will be honored with stars in 2013.  The other is classic rock icon Janis Joplin.

Right now, there's no information as to where the new stars will be located, or when the stars will be awarded.  However, it's mandatory for stars to turn up in person for their ceremonies.
