Eli Young Band Lived Out Latest Hit "Even if It Breaks Your Heart"

Republic NashvilleThe Eli Young Band's latest single, "Even if It It Breaks Your Heart," is all about chasing your dreams, something the guys in the group have been doing for more than a decade now. They started out playing in their home state of Texas and becoming big stars in the self-contained music scene there. Milestones like getting their first gig out of state, in Oklahoma, and buying a new van validated the Eli Young Band's dreams of someday making it on a national level.

Lead singer Mike Eli says, "I think that was it, trying to always know that we wanted everything to be as big as possible touring all over the United States, but to realize that it takes time."

Luckily, the guys in the band had each other to lean on while pursuing their shared vision. Drummer Chris Thompson adds, "There's always been the four of us, so when one guy's having a bad day or something like that there's the other three to sort of lift you up."

Eli Young Band is currently on the road with Rascal Flatts' Changed tour, along with tour mates Little Big Town and Edens Edge. They play Milwaukee, WI Wednesday night.
