Katy Perry Says It's Time for Her to "Go Away" & "Take My Hair Extensions Out"
Lester Cohen/WireImageFor the last two years, Katy Perry's been inescapable, thanks to her string of hit singles, her tour, the launch of her fragrances, her guest appearances on TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and, of course, her engagement, marriage and subsequent divorce from Russell Brand. She's been even more ubiquitous lately since she's been promoting the release of her new 3D concert film. But now, she says, enough's enough. "It's time for me to go the f*** away," she tells MTV.
"I'm going into hiding," she explains. "I want to go and write songs in the woods or something." On a similar note, she tells People magazine, "I think I'm going to go into a cave," adding, "I would love to...be in a beautiful, unplugged place where there's not a lot going on so that I can get back in tune...and hopefully write some good songs."
Katy also told MTV that she wants to "take my hair extensions out" and "feel my head again." She'll have to keep them in just a little while longer: her movie doesn't arrive in theaters until July 5, and there's a special sneak peek for fans July 2.
