Demi Lovato's Not Dating Niall from One Direction, Dammit!

Facebook.com/DemiLovatoOne Direction fans, rejoice: Niall Horan is not dating Demi Lovato -- and that's coming directly from Demi herself.

In a video shot backstage at The X Factor's auditions in Providence, Rhode Island, new judge Demi says of 1D's only Irish member, "He’s really sweet and he’s one of my really good friends now.  But I am single at the moment and I plan to be for a long time, because I need to focus on my career and myself and my well-being before I think about getting in a relationship."

Demi also spoke about the difficulties she's had adjusting to her new role as a judge on The X Factor.  "I didn’t think it would be this challenging,” she admits.  "Saying no to people is really hard."  She adds, "If you say no, what if that was their only shot, and you let them go when they weren’t really that bad?"

Demi says, though, that she is having fun "bonding with the cast," noting, "Everyone's so sweet and awesome."  She's also enjoying working with fellow newbie judge Britney Spears, who she says she "grew up listening to."
