Lupe Fiasco Chugs Malt Liquor, Rolls in Exotic Car in New Music Video
Lupe Fiasco FoundationLupe Fiasco plays up some rap cliches in his new "Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)" music video.
The clip takes Lupe back to his hometown, Chicago, where he hits the block, doling out handshakes and head nods to the locals. Lupe rocks a hoodie embroidered with the word "SWAGGER," and his eyes are glowing like a man possessed, but nobody seems to notice.
The cameras follow Lupe to a front stoop where a handful of cartoon characters twist up joints, chug malt liquor and roll dice. Lupe runs down his thoughts on Hurricane Katrina and U.S. foreign relations while he cruises a Windy City street in a Lamborghini and grabs a 40 ounce from the corner store.
"Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)" comes from Lupe's upcoming album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, which is due in stores on September 25. The set includes Lupe's latest single, "Bitch Bad."
