Linkin Park is the next artist to participate in the MTV World Stage series, which features exclusive concerts performed in unique locations around the world.
The band has announced they'll hit the stage at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico for the series on September 12, with the concert to be broadcast on MTV Latin America on October 8. In addition, the event will also be seen on more than 63 MTV channels around the world, with exact dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
"It's been so long since the last time we performed in Mexico,” says multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda in a statement. “We cannot wait to celebrate the launch of our new album with our fabulous Mexican fans."
Previous bands who have participated in the MTV World Stage series include Gorillaz, Coldplay, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Green Day, MGMT, The Smashing Pumpkins and Muse, among others.
