John Densmore Participating in Public Reading of Late Doors Manager's Memoir

Facebook.com/JohnDensmore1Doors drummer John Densmore will take part in a special reading event scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on June 22.  Densmore is one of several celebrities who will read segments from the late Danny Sugerman's 1989 memoir, Wonderland Avenue: Tales of Glamour & Excess.  The event, which will be hosted by famed L.A. deejay Jim Ladd, will be held at the Masonic Lodge at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.  Other stars participating in the reading include comedian Richard Lewis and actors Julian Sands and Henry Thomas.

Sugerman, who died of lung cancer in 2005 at age 50, was a one-time manager of The Doors and Iggy Pop.  He also co-wrote the popular Doors biography No One Here Gets Out Alive.

Tickets for the reading cost $15 and are available for purchase at HollywoodForever.com.
