Chris Brown, Drake Brawl Leads to Red Cup Rule at NYC Nightclub
RCAAll the drama that Chris Brown and Drake's alleged bottle-tossing brawl brought to New York City nightclub W.i.P. has inspired the venue to make a policy change.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, W.i.P. re-opened its doors on Tuesday with a "new red cup rule." To avoid any more melees involving flying liquor bottles, the club will cut out the glassware completely, and all drinks will now be served in red Solo cups of the frat party variety.
Additionally, W.i.P. security will inspect the bags of club-goers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The fate of W.i.P. had hung in the balance ever since last month's violent scene. More than a dozen New York City code violations against the club had led to a temporary suspension of its liquor license, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The publication reports that there had been question of whether the nightspot should be shuttered permanently, but a judge ruled earlier this week that it would be unfair to shut the place down with legal proceedings underway.
