Frank Ocean Surprises Fans with Early "channel ORANGE" Release

Def JamFrank Ocean's debut album channel ORANGE wasn't supposed to arrive in stores until July 17, but there it was on iTunes late Monday evening, ahead of schedule by an hour and a week. 

The surprise release came just hours ahead of Frank's pre-recorded appearance on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where it was announced that physical copies of channel ORANGE will be released next Tuesday.

All eyes have been on Frank since last week, when he revealed in a Tumblr message to fans that his first love had been a male friend.  The Odd Future crooner wrote that his original plan had been to share the intimate message in the liner notes of channel ORANGE, but there was no such passage included in the digital booklet released with the album on Monday.
