The Wanted Care for Injured Fan After She Faints at the Sight of Them
Kevin Mazur/WireImage via ABCThe Wanted aren't just pop stars -- it seems they're also EMTs in training. The British tabloid The Sun reports that the group sprang into action when one of their fans fainted at the sight of them, and then had a seizure.
According to the paper, the group pulled up in their bus at the airport in Glasgow, Scotland recently and were greeted by a group of girls. One of them got so excited she fainted, but as she went down, she smacked her head against a wall and had a seizure.
Despite the fact that they were late for their flight, group members Nathan Sykes and Tom Parker stopped the bus and got off to make sure she was OK. Tom called an ambulance while Nathan put the girl on her side, which is the correct recovery position after someone has had a seizure.
The paper quotes Tom as saying, "It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor. Nath stayed by her side while I called [911]. It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same."
