Demi Lovato Scolds "X Factor" Rappers for "Bath Salts" Reference
ABC/Donna SvennevikA pair of rappers got booted off the X Factor audition stage in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday for including references to the drug known as bath salts, reports TMZ.com.
According to witnesses, judge Demi Lovato, who has in the past admitted to drug and alcohol use and has spent time in rehab, admonished the contestants for using the line, “I’m high on bath salts,” saying, “It’s really inappropriate to rap about drugs in front of kids.” The duo was reportedly booed off the stage.
Bath salts, which have been in the news a lot lately, is an addictive synthetic powder that has the same effects as cocaine and crystal meth. President Obama signed new legislation on Monday banning bath salts and other similar synthetic drugs.
