Kix Brooks Delivers Music That Means Something to Him on "New to This Town"

Arista NashvilleKix Brooks will release his new solo album, New to This Town, on September 11 featuring the title cut as the lead single.  Of course, Kix wants to score multiple #1 hits off this project, but he didn't just make this album to have a bunch of hit songs.

Kix tells Billboard, "You can't chase your tail for what you should be sounding like or something that might work on the radio. You just have to play music that you can deliver that means something to you."

The music on New to This Town is really fun for Kix to play in live shows too.  He plays Norfolk, VA Wednesday night.
