The Wanted Thrilled to be on "Ice Age" Soundtrack, Ponder Future as Cartoon Characters

Courtesy: The WantedThe Wanted are psyched about the Friday release of the new movie Ice Age: Continental Drift, and not just because they are, as they put it, "massive fans" of the animated series.  No, they're excited because their latest single "Chasing the Sun" is featured on the soundtrack.

"I think animated films [are] a complete crowd-pleaser no matter what age you are," the group's Nathan Sykes tells ABC News Radio.  "It's great for kids, great for anybody."  But having their song on the soundtrack isn't enough for The Wanted's Tom Parker: he wants to take it to the next level.

"Next stop, we need to be in the film...c'mon!" he says. "I'd make a great cartoon character.  I've got a comical face."  Nathan isn't as enthusiastic, saying, "Well, I just look like E.T.....so I think we've got more faces for animated voices than film stars."

Actually, there's already a character in Ice Age: Continental Drift who could be a stand-in for Nathan.  According to Tom, Nathan's the spitting image of Sid the Sloth, who's voiced by John Leguizamo.  Instead of arguing, Nathan agrees, saying he does, "apparently, look like Sid the Sloth.  Rather embarrassingly."
