Gladys Knight Lends Her Expertise on New Show "Apollo Live"

Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for ABCThe Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight, will be lending her expertise to contestants on Centric's new original series Apollo Live, which premieres this fall.  Ms. Gladys will join judges Doug E. Fresh and Michael Bivins, and together they'll use their know-how to guide aspiring stars a little closer to their dreams of breaking into the entertainment industry.

Filmed at New York City's storied Apollo Theater in Harlem, each episode of Apollo Live will give up-and-comers a chance to shine.  At the end of each show, the winning contestant will take home a cash prize.

Comedian Tony Rock will host the show, with Jamie Foxx working as an executive producer behind the scenes.
