On the Road with Nicki Minaj: Wigs, Pink Satin...and Olives?

ABC/Tim OgierNicki Minaj kicks off the North American leg of her Pink Friday tour with a show in Chicago on Monday night.  The 18-date roadtrip is scheduled to wrap August 12 in Vancouver.  After that, Nicki heads overseas for a U.K. tour.

Along for the ride are Nicki's signature wigs -- she tells People she has "about 100"  -- as well as an extensive stage wardrobe, which she wears all at once to cut down on wardrobe changes.  Nicki tells People, "In the first act, I have three layers of clothes on.  Then I just strip down as I go."

When her high-energy performance is over, Nicki slides back to her decked-out dressing room.  Considering the titles of both her albums, the rapper obviously has a thing for pink, and says that her dressing room is covered in the hue.  "It looks like something out of Aladdin," she tells People.  "Pink flowers and candles, white rugs, couches covered in pink satin." 

It's a perfect space for Nicki's post-show ritual, which sounds pretty simple.  "I eat olives with a towel on!" she reveals to People.
