Jason Aldean Scores iTunes #1 with "Take a Little Ride," Adds New Music to Live Show

James Minchin IIIJason Aldean's new single, "Take a Little Ride," was released to radio and iTunes on Monday, and the fans put it at #1 on the overall iTunes songs chart by Tuesday.  Jason is glad to find out his fans love the song and calls hitting #1 at iTunes "a big deal."

"If we can hold that for a few weeks, it'd be really nice," Jason says with a laugh.

The initial reaction to "Take a Little Ride" is setting things up very nicely for Jason to release his new album later this year.  He's just added "Take a Little Ride" to the set list on his My Kinda Party tour along with another new song called "Wheels Rollin'."  It will also be included on the new album, and Jason describes it as a "throwback, '80s rock, sort of 'Wanted Dead or Alive' thing."

Fans going to Jason's shows this summer won't be overwhelmed with new music though.  Jason wants to keep the hits rolling and plans to add more new songs once his fifth album hits stores.
