Rihanna Remembers Late Grandmother on Twitter

The singer's close relationship with her grandmother, Dolly, was apparent Sunday when she tweeted a series of pictures of herself with the woman she calls "Gran Gran Dolly." She wrote, "Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you."

Rihanna's ex, Chris Brown, also remembered Dolly on Twitter, writing, "Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP."

Chris' mother, Joyce Hawkins, tweeted to Rihanna, "Angel may God be with you and your family in your time of sorrow. Love you angel." Rihanna replied, "Thank you! Love u mama."

According to Britain's Daily Mail, Dolly died of cancer.

The British newspaper also reports that before Rihanna made her grandmother's death known to the public, she received criticism from some fans on Twitter for appearing on stage 45 minutes late and allegedly putting on a poor show at a Swedish festival on Saturday.
