Police, Free, Peter Frampton, Styx Among Artists Featured on A&M's 50th Anniversary Set

ThePolice.comA bevy of popular classic-rock artists are featured on a new, three-CD compilation celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of A&M Records.  A&M 50: The Anniversary Collection, which arrives in stores August 28, features songs from many of the acts that recorded during their time with the label.  The retrospective's second disc, which is devoted entirely to rock acts, includes memorable songs by The Police, Joe Cocker, Free, Styx, Peter Frampton, Nazareth and Supertramp, among many others.

A&M 50, which features 60 tracks in all, also includes a CD devoted to the labels more pop-oriented acts and a disc focusing on soul and jazz artists.
