Guns N' Roses Joined by Ex-Member Izzy Stradlin at Private Show in France

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagicA partial reunion of Guns N' Roses' classic lineup took place on Saturday, as founding guitarist Izzy Stradlin joined Axl Rose and the band's current incarnation to perform at a private wedding ceremony in Saint-Tropez, France.

Blabbermouth.net reports that Stradlin played 11 songs with GN'R at the event, including such classics as "Welcome to the Jungle," "Patience" and "Paradise City."  The gig apparently was a last-minute addition to GN'R's European trek, and was sandwiched in between the last two scheduled shows on the tour.

After the Saint-Tropez show, Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba wrote a Twitter post about the event, saying, "It was great having Izzy back on stage with us."

In addition, guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal tweeted, "That was…fun as f**k & everybody was so sweet :)"

Stradlin also played with Guns N' Roses this past May 31 at their concert at London's O2 Arena.  GN'R wrapped up its European outing Sunday night in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
