Jason Aldean Gives Young Country Singer a Big Break on E!'s "Opening Act"

Green Room PRJason Aldean appears on E!'s talent competition Opening Act Monday night at 10 ET, but he's not taking on the role of a mentor or judge like Blake Shelton on NBC's The Voice.  Instead, Jason lets a young country singer discovered through a talent search open a show for him.

He says, "I think it's really cool to give a young artist like that, especially a young artist that's a teenager or something, the chance to come out and experience what it's like, you know, on a big stage, not just playing at the Sweet Potato Festival or whatever."

Jason played a lot of small town gigs like that, and he hopes this opportunity will lead to big things for the young singer that opens for him.

"To get a chance to come out and see what it's really all about to me is something that should kind of inspire 'em a little bit and make 'em want to reach for it a little more," Jason explains.

Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan are also expected to appear on E!'s Opening Act Monday night.
