Love and Theft's Self-Titled Debut Project in Stores Now
Sony Music NashvilleLove and Theft releases their self-titled, new album Tuesday featuring the hit "Angels Eyes." It's their first album since losing a member and becoming a duo consisting of Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson. They've also grown up a bit in the three years since their debut album, World Wide Open, was released. Eric is now married, and he says that maturity is reflected in the new music.
"I think people that have been fans of ours from the beginning, they've kind of grown up with us," Eric tells ABC News Radio. "So, they're obviously going through the same things and maturing in different ways."
Love and Theft has matured musically as well. The new project is a mix of songs the duo wrote and a few from other songwriters. The result builds on the harmony-driven sound the duo unveiled on their first project.
Stephen says, "We just kinda wanted to have something different that everybody could kind of relate to on different levels. Also with keeping our same sound, but trying to do songs that all were so different melodically and things like that."
Love and Theft performs "Angel Eyes" on Fox News' Fox & Friends Tuesday morning.
