Jordin Sparks Finally Sees "Sparkle," Is "Moved to Tears"
Sony PicturesAs odd as it may sound, Jordin Sparks only saw Sparkle -- the movie in which she makes her big-screen debut -- for the first time on Monday. Jordin tweeted that she was "nervous" about watching the movie, in which she plays an aspiring singer opposite Whitney Houston, who plays her mom, but she shouldn't have worried.
After the screening, Jordin tweeted, "OMG. Moved to tears. You guys are gonna love the movie. That's all I can say."
Not only will fans love the movie, they'll love the soundtrack as well, since it includes many new songs featuring Jordin: three solo numbers, and four where she sings with her co-stars. She hasn't released an album since 2009's Battlefield, so this is the first new music we've gotten from her in a while. Meanwhile, Jordin continues to work on her third album.
Sparkle hits theaters August 17.
