Justin Bieber Acknowledges 71-Year-Old Cancer-Stricken Belieber, Says "Keep Fighting"

Facebook.com/JustinBieberIf you think that only teen and pre-teen girls like Justin Bieber, there's a 71-year-old grandfather out there who begs to differ.

Ottawa's Peter Johngren, a grandfather who's currently battling prostate cancer, is a massive Bieber fan known as "Senior Biebs," and he credits the singer's music with helping him through his illness.  Now, Justin has acknowledged Johngren's devotion on Twitter.

Linking to a newspaper article about Johngren in the Ottawa Citizen on Thursday, Justin wrote, "This guy is the MAN!  Keep fighting! thanks!"

According to the Ottawa Citizen, Johngren discovered Justin in 2009 while surfing YouTube during chemotherapy for a previous cancer diagnosis.  He instantly became a fan and not only owns every Justin album, but also his Never Say Never DVD, his autobiography, collector magazines and more.  He's attended a Justin concert and tells the paper he even joined "the Twitter" to keep up with the Biebs' activities.

“[Justin is] so full of life that it somehow counters my thoughts of death,” says Johngren.  “While I may have one foot out the door, Justin has just entered the room and it’s a reminder of how exciting and precious life is.”
