Julianne Hough Hopes to Return to Music Career at Some Point

Odrea BarbeJulianne Hough is one of Hollywood's brightest new stars, with roles in the movie musicals Footloose and Rock of Ages already out. She's got more movies on the way, but that doesn't mean Julianne won't return to her country music career someday. She actually finished a follow-up album to her 2008 debut project, but the first single didn't do too well on radio.

Julianne tells TheBoot.com, "Then Footloose came about, and everything has been having a lot of momentum with my films. Once you're on the train, you better ride it so I'm here doing this and I'm loving it."

Julianne admits she misses performing music and says of putting out new songs, "I hope it will happen sooner rather than later, but I'm not gone."

Julianne plays a plane crash survivor in an as-yet-untitled film from Oscar-winner Diablo Cody, due out next year.
