Viral Video: Sixty Years of Rock 'N’ Roll in 100 Guitar Riffs in a Single Take

Chuck Berry (Photo by Marc Andrew Deley/Getty Images)Nearly two million people have viewed the YouTube video of guitarist Alex Chadwick of the Chicago Music Exchange playing what he calls "a brief history of rock and roll in 100 riffs in a single take."

Fender Stratocaster in hand, Chadwick blows through 60 years of classic riffs in the video beginning with Chet Atkins' 1953 riff from "Mr. Sandman" and proceeding through, well, 99 more classics.  There's Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode,"  the Surfaris' "Wipeout," The Beatles' "Day Tripper,"  The Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction" and Aerosmith's "Walk This Way,"  and of course 93 more.

The video is a promotion for the Music Exchange's contest giving away more than 17 thousand dollars in vintage music gear.

Here is the complete list of the songs.
