Lambert "Flattered" to Be Considered as "American Idol" Judge...But Isn't In Talks
ABC/Tim OgierFollowing a report by E! Online that claimed Adam Lambert and Fox have been in talks for "over a month" about Adam joining the judges' panel on American Idol, Adam himself says, "Not so fast."
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Adam seems to indicate that while he's not against the idea, no actual talks have occurred.
"Idol has an amazing history of introducing great musical talent, and I was very fortunate to have had the Idol stage play a big part in my career," Adam tells THR, adding, "IF" -- which is written in capital letters -- "Idol wants to talk to me about judging, I'd be more than flattered to have that conversation."
When Adam was on Idol on season eight, the judges were Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. The panel currently comprises Randy, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, but there are rumors that J-Lo plans to leave.
