Allman Brothers Band to Headline Blues Tribute Concert in Nebraska

Facebook.com/TheBluesmastersConcertThe Allman Brothers Band has signed on to headline The Bluesmasters Concert, a special tribute event taking place August 31 at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The show will salute the music of late blues legends Hubert Sumlin and Pinetop Perkins, and will be hosted by Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood.

The show's lineup also includes Leon Russell and Elvin Bishop, as well as veteran bluesman Otis Taylor.  Part of the proceeds raised by the concert will support a University of Nebraska scholarship program.

The performance is the last confirmed show on the Allman Brothers' 2012 itinerary.
