Miranda Lambert Featuring "Mutt of the Week" from Her Local Animal Shelter on Twitter

Randee St. NicholasMiranda Lambert is doing her part to find homes for the dogs at her local animal shelter in Tishomingo, OK.  You may recall Miranda and her husband Blake Shelton raised the money to build the shelter through Miranda's Mutt Nation Foundation. Starting this week, Miranda is featuring a "Mutt of the Week" from the shelter through her Twitter account to encourage adoption.

Blake and Miranda are currently working to make sure the facility is run as a no-kill shelter in spite of local laws.  A Tishomingo ordinance states that dogs should be put down after three days at the shelter according to a news report from Oklahoma TV station KWTV.
