Britney Spears Learns the Fate of Her "I'm a Slave 4 U" Snake

Courtesy Britney Spears via PinterestBritney Spears seems to be in a nostalgic mood lately.  Last week, she sent a tweet to the Mars Curiosity Rover referencing her 2000 video for "Oops...I Did It Again."  Now, she's tweeting about one of her co-stars from back in 2001: the huge albino Burmese python she draped around her shoulders for her 2001 MTV VMA performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U."

Britney tweeted, "Sometimes I wonder what this snake is up to these days... Anybody know where it's at? haha." She included a link to a picture of herself and the snake from her Pinterest account.

It didn't take Britney's Twitter followers long to respond to her query.   Less than 24 hours later, Britney tweeted, "Snake update: I've heard she's alive and well, and that her name is Banana! This makes me smile :)"

Britney and Banana debuted "I'm a Slave 4 U" for the first time during that 2001 MTV VMA performance; in 2008, MTV named it the most memorable moment in VMA history.
