Jana Kramer Racing up the Country Chart with Gold Debut Single, "Why Ya Wanna"
Warner Music NashvilleNewcomer Jana Kramer is racing up the country chart with her debut single, "Why Ya Wanna." The song about unresolved feelings for an ex-boyfriend has caught on with fans and country radio alike. "Why Ya Wanna" was just certified gold for 500,000 paid downloads too.
"It's been a great response. I'm so thankful," Jana says.
"Why Ya Wanna" is just a taste of what fans get on Jana's full-length, self-titled, debut album, now in stores. She designed the album to show off the different sides of her personality.
Speaking about the variety of material on the project, Jana explains, "There's songs that show my 'sass with class' side, the emotional side and the hurt side. We've all been hurt."
Jana also included songs about overcoming that hurt on her album. She'll be performing songs from the project during her opening gig for Brad Paisley Friday night in Raleigh, NC.
