Rihanna Fires Back After Joan Rivers Takes a Swipe at Her Via Twitter

Photo by Lester Cohen/WireImageRihanna told Joan Rivers to "slap on some diapers" Friday, after the veteran comedian made a dig at the singer about things she said during her interview on Oprah's Next Chapter.  "Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown," Joan tweeted.  "Idiot! Now it's MY turn to slap her."

The joke was lost on Rihanna, who fired back, "wow u really do get slow when you're old huh?," before adding the tweet about diapers.  Rih's Navy had the singer's back, lashing out at Joan in tweets of their own.  The verbal thrashing didn't seem to faze Joan though. 

She issued Rihanna advice, and an invitation, too.  "Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he’ll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS – Love to have you on Fashion Police!"

The only television appearance that Rihanna seemed interested in talking about though is her upcoming performance on the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, taking place on September 6.
