Drake Has His Eyes Set on a Diploma
Universal MotownAfter Drake shares the stage with A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and The Weeknd at OVO Festival this Saturday in Toronto, he'll be moving on to a far less superstar-like task. He'll be hitting the books.
Drizzy tells Toronto magazine Now, "I'm actually spending my summer graduating high school. ... I only have one credit left, and I'm really excited about that."
Reaching that educational milestone is Drake's "main focus," as far as his post-OVO Festival plans go. Speaking of his hometown showcase, Drizzy says, "I just wanted to create a special night for the city. When I grew up, I always used to hear how we never get anything good coming through Toronto."
There's a chance that a few unexpected guests could be popping up at this year's OVO mega-concert, just as Jay-Z and Lil Wayne did one year. "I don’t want people to just come for the surprise guests, but at the same time I do put in a lot of effort and take a lot of pride in the friends that I can call up to travel to our city. I don’t really call on too many people for favors, but for this one night I do."
