Linkin Park has once again partnered with the popular video game series Medal of Honor. The band used the game's 2010 edition to unveil the single “The Catalyst” from that year's album A Thousand Suns. Now multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda has signed on to compose the score for the forthcoming game Medal of Honor Warfighter.
“Linkin Park’s involvement with the 2010 reboot of Medal of Honor was a hugely positive experience for all of us,” said Shinoda in a statement. “The opportunity to take this creative collaboration several steps further was something that we knew we had to be a part of.”
In addition to writing new music for Warfighter, Linkin Park will include scenes from the forthcoming military video game, mixed with live action footage, in the upcoming video for “Castle of Glass,” from their recently-released album Living Things.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is due in stores on October 23.
