Michael Madsen Didn't Enjoy "Slapping Justin Bieber Around" in New Video
Image courtesy Anthony Mandler via TwitterThe most memorable thing about Justin Bieber's new video for "As Long as You Love Me" is the scene where tough-guy actor Michael Madsen hands The Bieb a beatdown that leaves him bruised and bloody. And while there are no doubt many haters out there who dream of punching Justin's lights out, Madsen says he wasn't one of them.
Speaking to MTV, Madsen says, "I didn't exactly enjoy slapping him around," explaining, "Had he been a brat, you know, I might have had fun with that. But he was actually...the opposite."
The Kill Bill star says that he was impressed with Justin's professionalism. "I think he wanted it to be well-done. I don't think he was blowing it off," says Madsen. "I think that I've been around enough to know I can tell if somebody isn't really doing their job or taking what they do seriously. And I could tell from early on in the morning that he was. He wanted it to be right."
But when asked whether or not Justin has a future in Hollywood, Madsen was a bit less enthusiastic. "He had good eye contact. He was focused. He didn't have a double. I think he should leave the acting up to me," he tells MTV, laughing. "He can sing though. See I can't do that. It goes both ways...He does his thing, and I do mine."
