Tim McGraw has presented mortgage-free homes to wounded service men and women at each of his 18 tour dates so far this summer. He's partnered with Operation Homefront, Chase and the Academy of Country Music's Lifting Lives for the program to provide shelter to military families in need.
When he meets with the families at each concert stop, Tim says, "You can see the relief, I think, in their faces, which means the most to me."
Tim adds that even though these soldiers have been injured in the line of duty, some of them he meets still don't think they deserve a mortgage-free home. Says Tim, "That's the biggest point that I wanted to get across to them -- for these guys to never think they don't deserve this, 'cause they deserve this and way more."
