Eagles' Glenn Frey Playing at Hearing Charity's Awards Event on Saturday

Photo: Autumn de WildeThe Eagles' Glenn Frey is among the stars who will perform at the 2012 So the World May Hear Awards Gala on Saturday in St. Paul, Minnesota.  The event raises money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides hearing aids to people in poverty stricken areas around the world.

Among the other music artists on the bill for the gala are country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and comic actor Steve Martin, who will perform with his bluegrass group The Steep Canyon Rangers.  In addition, a number of high-profile special guests  will appear at the ceremony -- former President Bill Clinton, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal and Chevy Chase.

Meanwhile, Frey continues to promote his recent album, After Hours, and has scheduled a new solo concert on November 10 in Clearwater, Florida.  The singer/guitarist also has three previously reported Eagles shows on his itinerary -- September 1 and 2 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and November 17 in Las Vegas.
