Tim McGraw Inducted into Louisiana Music Hall of Fame While on Tour

Credit: The Fun StarTim McGraw expects to find excited fans at every tour stop, but this past Friday in New Orleans, he got something unexpected: an induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Tim was surprised at the Superdome in New Orleans when Mike Shepherd, president of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, came onstage in the middle of his set and presented him with a custom plaque honoring him for his contribution to that state's musical heritage.  Among the other artists who've been inducted into the hall are Mickey Gilley, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Neville, Randy Newman, Jo-El Sonnier, Fats Domino and Little Richard.

Tim was born in Delhi, Louisiana, and raised in Start, Louisiana.
