Phillip Phillips Soars to #1 on Digital Songs Chart with "Home," Video to Premiere on TV Tonight

19/UniversalPhillip Phillips has earned the music equivalent of an Olympic gold medal.  His song "Home" has just jumped to #1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart, thanks to its use in NBC's Olympic coverage.

The song, which was lingering at #47, zoomed to the top with sales of 228,000, according to Nielsen Soundscan. That's a sales increase of 472%. 

The video for "Home," filmed on the road during this summer's in-progress American Idols Live tour,  will debut on TV Wednesday night during So You Think You Can Dance, which airs on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.  It's already been available online for about a week.
