Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, celebrated what would have been her mother's 49th birthday with a trip to the tattoo shop. Wednesdasy, the eve of Whitney's birthday, Bobbi Kris tweeted a photo revealing that she and rumored boyfriend Nick Gordon had both gotten the initials "WH" inked onto the insides of their wrists, in tribute to Whitney.
"[Now] your truly ALWAYS with us mommy," Bobbi wrote, not long after sharing that she was "REALLY REALLY missing" her mom, who died in Los Angeles six months ago.
Whitney was also remembered Thursday by her friend and duet partner Mariah Carey, who tweeted, "Happy birthday Whitney. Let's remember this beautiful icon on the day of her birth. #RIPWhitneyHouston."
Jordin Sparks, Whitney's co-star in the upcoming movie Sparkle, tweeted a picture of them together on set and wrote, "Happy Birthday Whitney! I can't wait 4 everyone to see you on August 17! I love you & miss you so much!"
Brandy, whose upcoming album is titled Two Eleven in part to mark the day Whitney passed, wrote, "Happy Birthday to the GREATEST VOICE OF ALL TIME!!," Brandy tweeted on Thursday. "Whitney Houston, you are the dream!!! You are the inspiration!! You are MY ANGEL!"
American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez, who sang several Whitney songs this past season on the show, wrote, "Happy Birthday Whitney. We love you."
Famed songwriter Diane Warren, who wrote a number of songs recorded by Whitney, tweeted, "Today is Whitneys Birthday. Take a moment to thank her for what her music did for us. Rest in Eternal Peace Whitney."
Pat Houston, Whitney's sister-in-law and manager, posted on her official website, " My greatest wish is for all of Whitney's fans to remember her life and celebrate her birthday by seeing Sparkle on August 17th."
