Tim McGraw's film career has taken a backseat this year since he's been so busy touring and making new music. It's not that Tim hasn't been looking at scripts to follow up his roles in The Blind Side and Country Strong. He's got two or three projects floating around that he'd like to do, but that isn't always the case.
Tim says, "You can read 50 scripts and not find anything that you like. It's much like finding songs. You listen to thousands of songs, and you find those magic things."
When Tim does find a project he wants to do, the demanding filming schedule often makes it impossible for him to undertake.
"It's a two or three month commitment to a movie when you decide to do one," Tim explains. "Not to mention the preparation before it. So, you don't want to short change anybody."
Even if Tim wants a part, his music superstar status doesn't guarantee he'll get the role.
He says, "I'm not at the point yet where I can just go say, 'I want that role,' and it's mine. I have to work for it in a lot of ways."
You can catch Tim on the small screen in his upcoming video for "Truck Yeah," which he recently shot outside Chattanooga, TN. A teaser clip for that video has been posted on YouTube.
