Eric Church Logging Trees on Nashville Property as Stress Reliever

EB Media PREric Church is taking a real hands-on approach to getting his new Nashville-area property just the way he wants it.  He's in the process of building a lake there, and that involves a lot of clearing trees.

"I have a new hobby, and it's pretty much logging," Eric tells Rolling Stone.

Eric's management staff gets a little freaked out that he's out in the woods alone cutting down big trees with a chainsaw, but Eric says the process is a big stress reliever for him.

He explains, "When you're out there, you can't think of anything but that saw and that tree because if you do, you're gonna kill yourself."

Eric likes just focusing his concentration on that tree and nothing else saying, "By the time you have it piece out, four or five hours have gone by.  For me, it's therapeutic."
