Usher Faces Tough Questions About His Marriage, Custody Battle on "Oprah's Next Chapter"

Image Courtesy of Norman Jean Roy and UsherWas Usher a faithful husband ?  He answers questions about his marriage to then-wife Tameka Raymond, discusses the custody battle over their two sons together and more in Sunday night's installment of Oprah's Next Chapter, airing at 8 p.m. ET.

"It's nasty fighting over children, isn't it?" Oprah asks Usher, who faced off with his ex-wife in a Georgia court room, where cameras captured him breakdown on the witness stand.  "It's very nasty... and there is no winner in any fight," says Usher, who teared up during proceedings.

Usher fans watched as the singer and his former wife made headlines, sometimes taking to their Twitter accounts to blow off steam.  In his interview with Oprah, Usher says that he'd had his misgivings years ago about whether he should take his relationship with Tameka to the next level.  

Discussing his failed marriage, Usher says that he was kicking himself in the butt, "because I always felt like maybe we weren't ready.  And maybe this wasn't the time or the way to do it.  And you know, part of that, I think, played into the demise of it."

One person who seemed to be certain that Usher was making a mistake was his mom and former manager, Jonetta Patton.  She drops in on the Oprah's Next Chapter interview, and answers questions about missing Usher's wedding.
